Privacy Policy for VexScreen

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application VexScreen ("Application") for mobile devices, which was created by us as the developer and publisher.

The Application provides screen overlay functionality to keep background processes active, protect user privacy, and optimize battery usage.

1. Information Collection and Use

Personal Data

While we do not collect or store personally identifiable information (PII) on our own servers, the Application utilizes trusted third-party services that may collect device identifiers and usage data to improve functionality, monitor stability, and serve advertisements. Any configuration data you choose within the Application is stored strictly locally on your device.

Biometric Data (Privacy Shield Functionality)

VexScreen includes an optional privacy feature that allows you to unlock the screen overlay using your device's native biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face unlock).

                Crucial Note: The Application never accesses, collects, or stores your
                biometric templates. All authentication processes are handled entirely by the Android operating system's
                secure API (BiometricPrompt). The Application only receives a simple "success" or "failure"
                callback from the system.
            

Device Permissions Required

To provide its core features, the Application requires the following sensitive permissions, which are processed entirely on your device:

System Alert Window (Draw over other apps / Top Most Priority Mode): Required to display the black overlay on top of all other system windows and applications.
Foreground Service: Required to keep the floating action button and the overlay service alive and prevent the Android system from freezing your background tasks.
Wake Lock / Proximity Sensor Access: Used for the "Pocket Mode" to detect when the device is covered or placed face down, allowing the application to safely turn off the display backlight.

2. Third-Party Services, Analytics, and Advertising

The Application integrates third-party services that may collect information used to identify you in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to monitor app stability and usage. This service automatically collects necessary data such as app interactions, crash logs, diagnostic information, and device identifiers. This helps us quickly identify bugs and improve the Application's performance.

Advertising

To enable free access to PRO features, we use advertising networks to display Rewarded Video Ads. We use Google AdMob as our primary ad provider and mediation platform, alongside Unity Ads and Meta Audience Network as bidding partners. These advertising providers may collect and use advertising IDs (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and device data to personalize ads and combat fraud.

3. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases, and PRO Access

The Application offers optional paid subscriptions (weekly, monthly, 3-months, 6-months, and yearly plans) as well as a one-time lifetime purchase ("LIFETIME PRO") to unlock advanced protection features without watching advertisements.

Payment Processing: All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely and securely through the official Google Play Billing Library handled by Google Play. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card details, billing address, or financial information on our servers.
Purchase Verification: The Application receives an anonymous purchase token and subscription status from Google Play, alongside purchase history data collected via Firebase, to verify whether you have an active PRO entitlement and measure conversion metrics.
Subscription Management: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage, change, or cancel your subscriptions at any time directly in your Google Play Store account settings.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

App settings, purchase status tokens, and ad reward timers are stored locally via SharedPreferences and will be permanently deleted when you uninstall the Application or clear app data. Data collected by integrated third-party services (such as Firebase analytics or AdMob) is retained and managed according to their respective privacy policies. You can reset your device's Advertising ID at any time through your Android system settings.

5. Children’s Privacy

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our local records.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
